Working together to make health workplaces healthier

2011 Summit Program

Program

The 2011 Summit theme "Integrating Perspectives: Healthy Work Environments, Healthy Outcomes, Healthy People" builds on past Summits that brought a lens to the connections between quality of worklife and quality healthcare, and on healthy workplaces in action.

This year we will explore the interconnectedness and interdependence of a wide variety of concepts, factors and perspectives needed for a solution-focused approach to creating healthier work environments. The need for continued commitment, engagement and collaboration of all health system stakeholders will undoubtedly figure as a recurring message.

The 2011 Summit will showcase over fifty initiatives from across Canada in the areas of employee health and wellness, building healthy culture, safety, aboriginal workplaces, governance, engagement, mentorship and many more. The program presents a blend of keynote and panel plenary sessions, concurrent presentations and workshops. The interactive poster and table exhibit showcase will once again prove to be a highlight of the event, engaging participants in discussion and inquiry.

A few of this year's speakers include:

  • Rory Cohen, Founder and President, Entelekey Inc.
  • Kristen Cumming, Associate, Life-Role Development Group
  • Hugh MacLeod, Chief Executive Officer, Canadian Patient Safety Institute
  • Wendy Nicklin, Chief Executive Officer, Accreditation Canada
