Knowledge Exchange

Innovative Practices

Purpose:

The Quality-Worklife Quality Healthcare Collaborative (QWQHC) is pleased to introduce its Innovative Practices inventory, developed to facilitate knowledge exchange between health organizations. To this end, the Collaborative has created a tool designed to capture and share practices that have been demonstrated to improve Quality of Worklife, and by extension, health system delivery and patient/client outcomes.

Definition:

The QWQHC defines Quality of Worklife Innovative Practices as evidence-informed processes and activities that are perceived to positively impact Quality of Worklife. Evidence-informed can mean the practice is based on research and/or experiential knowledge, as we recognize that some practices do not have an evaluation or research component that can clearly show that one practice is in fact better than another. To build the evidence base, the Collaborative encourages the evaluation of impact of practices to allow for better comparison between practices. In addition, the Collaborative recognizes that Innovative Practices are context specific.

We invite you to submit your Quality of Worklife Innovative Practice to include in our inventory on our website. Should you have any questions, contact us at: information@qwqhc.ca. Should you have any questions about a particular practice, we encourage you to directly follow-up with the contact person listed.
